What is hypnosis?
The mind has two levels – conscious awareness and subconscious thoughts. Logic, reason, and will power are found in our conscious mind. Deeply rooted in our subconscious mind is where a majority of our behavior is governed. Hypnosis is a deep state of relaxation and calmness while remaining mentally alert. Positive suggestions are readily accepted in this state.
Studies have found that subconscious thoughts are seven to nine times more powerful than conscious awareness. Thus, when you change the subconscious thought process, you are tapping into seven to nine times more power over your life than conscious determination will allow.
Why hypnosis?
Because it works! You can access the subconscious to release and discover core issues causing symptoms of stress, fears, phobias, anxiety, procrastination, etc.

Can anyone be hypnotized?
Yes. Everyone has the ability to be hypnotized. Hypnosis is a very normal process not dissimilar to driving on the freeway and missing your exit. Everyone who is willing to relax and enjoy the benefits of hypnosis can be hypnotized. Anyone who can follow directions can be hypnotized. The most creative and intelligent people are usually the best subjects.
Will I be asleep?
No. You remain completely aware of everything that’s going on. Although the words “deep sleep” may be used, we know you are not really sleeping. You hear everything that is being said. This is your clue to the fact that you are in the hypnotic state rather than sleep.
Do people get "stuck" in a trance?
No. You are only in a state of very deep relaxation and you can leave that state whenever you want. It is impossible to get “stuck”. All trances end, whether formally ended by the hypnotherapist or naturally by you.
Will I do things I don't want to or be totally under your control?
Absolutely not. Hypnosis works on the basis of positive suggestions. Whilst you may fall into a dreamlike state, your mind is still in control and will reject any suggestions that you would normally consider inappropriate. You are not in anyone’s power and you cannot be controlled in any way. The people you see on stage shows are all “willing volunteers” whose eagerness to entertain others is the basis of their apparent “programmed behavior”.
You cannot be made to do anything against your will. No one can be made to do anything or say anything that conflicts with his or her personal and ethical standards. You are an active problem solver and incorporate your morals into your therapy.
Will I reveal personal secrets?
You will not disclose anything you do not want to. You’ll always be aware and you only tell what you want to reveal.
Are there any side effects?
There are no negative side effects, but results vary from one client to another. Most people find the experience to be extremely positive, beneficial, and empowering. Hypnosis is considered safe no matter what your condition.
Can hypnosis help me quit smoking or lose weight?
Yes. Habits are controlled by the subconscious mind. Since hypnosis accesses the subconscious mind, your behavior can be modified to benefit you by replacing old beliefs you no longer need or want with new ones you desire. All behaviors are a learned response. If you learned it, you can unlearn it.
What is Neuro-Linguistic Programming?
NLP is the study of the mind and of language and how their interplay effects our body and behavior (programming). NLP is a multi-dimensional process that involves the development of behavioral competence and flexibility, but also involves strategic thinking and an understanding of the mental and cognitive processes behind behavior.
NLP provides tools and skills for the development of states of individual excellence, but it also establishes a system of empowering beliefs and presuppositions about what human beings are, what communication is, and what the process of change is all about. NLP is about self-discovery, exploring identity and mission.
It also provides a framework for understanding and relating to the ‘spiritual’ part of human experience that reaches beyond us as individuals to our family, community, and global systems. NLP is not only about competence and excellence; it is about wisdom and vision.
What Is TimeLine™ Therapy?
Your “Time Line” is how you unconsciously store your memories or how you unconsciously know the difference between a memory from the past and a projection of the future. Behavioral change in an individual takes place at an unconscious level. People don’t change consciously.
The Time Line Therapy™ process allows you to work at the unconscious level and release the effects of past negative experiences and change “inappropriate” programming in minutes rather than days, months, or years. It is a revolutionary new approach, which has become so popular because of its ability to create quick, long lasting results. This powerful technique is becoming the method of choice to make fast, effective, long-term changes in behavior.
What Is Lucid Dreaming?
Lucid Dreaming is an awareness that you are dreaming while you are dreaming. It’s an innate ability that everyone possesses, yet is dormant in most people. At a high level, the dreamer is consciously aware of experiencing a dream, knowing it’s not really happening no matter how real it may seem.
One can interact with the dream with intent, choosing to fly for example, or simply to observe the dream as it unfolds. At low levels of lucidity the dreamer is aware of dreaming but cannot make choices within the dream.
Can anyone learn to have a Lucid Dream?
Lucid dreaming is a skill that you can develop. The speed at which you develop the skill depends on your dedication to practicing techniques such as remembering, reality checks, and dream recall. With specific techniques you can increase the quality or quantity of lucid dreams.
What is Dream Therapy?
Dream therapy involves analyzing dreams to assist in resolving real life problems. It involves training oneself to remember dreams, typically by keeping a journal. There are a number of benefits to dream therapy including but not limited to sparking creativity, insight to one’s subconscious, and dealing with nightmares.
Dream interpretation lies solely with the dreamer. You know yourself better than you think. Dreams can be a wonderful tool to know yourself better. Dream incubation (use of dreams for a specific concern) is part of dream therapy.
